DEBT AND EQUITIES Best Buy Co. Inc., Richfield, declared a quarterly cash dividend of 14 cents per common share, an increase from 13 cents, payable Oct. 28 to shareholders of record Oct. 7. The company had 411.9 million common shares issued and outstanding as of May 31.

PERSONNEL MOVES Datacard Group, Minnetonka, named Todd Wilkinson president and CEO, succeeding Jeffrey Hattara, who will resign. Wilkinson had been chief financial and administrative officer since 2006.

Dolan Media Co., Minneapolis, named Arthur Kingsbury to its board of directors. Kingsbury was president and chief operating officer of VNU-USA Inc., a U.S. subsidiary of Dutch-based VNU.

LEGAL MATTERS Scanner Technologies Corp., Minneapolis, said that Nvidia Corp. and Icos Vision Systems N.V. have filed declaratory judgment complaints against Scanner Technologies in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. The complaints seek rulings that various patents owned by Scanner Technologies are invalid and not infringed by devices manufactured by Nvidia and inspection equipment manufactured by Icos.
