OTHER PROTECTED AREAS

Chimney Rock is the fourth Scientific and Natural Area in Dakota County. The others are Black Dog, a rare fen in the Minnesota River bottoms in Burnsville; Pine Bend Bluff on the Mississippi River in Inver Grove Heights, and the Hastings Sand Coulee prairie, south of town along Hwy. 316 in Marshan Township.
