It’s college fantasy football time again, and I daresay it’s an exercise in futility for me. Because you can’t predict future injuries or portal transfers. Pick the team with the cool uniforms.

Much like the weather. Forecast accuracy is slowly improving, but until we can measure current global weather with perfect accuracy and make the math in weather models match atmospheric reality with zero margin of error, there will be busts. We will be wrong. My grandson is obsessed with hurricanes and tornadoes. I will encourage him to become an engineer. Find a gig that can’t be done by AI anytime soon.

The weather ebbs and flows — the atmospheric tantrums and tornadoes have been replaced by sunny, comfortable weather into Labor Day. Perfect weather to start your September. Back to the 70s sounds good to me.

The NWS confirms three Minnesota tornadoes from Thursday’s storms (Andover, and Isanti and Dakota counties). And a hurricane is increasingly likely in the Gulf of Mexico in seven days. Glad I’m hanging out in Minnesota.
