Edwin Lundie cabin-lovers tour The restored Olson cabin (above), designed by Minnesota architect Edwin Lundie, is the fitting last stop on the July 19 Lundie/Historical Cabin Tour that starts in Schroeder, Minn.

The 1946 timber-framed cabin overlooking Lake Superior boasts Lundie's carved pillars and wood rails, alpine-style balconies and other finely crafted details. The guided tour closes with a picnic and party on Ledge Rock, high above the shore.

The fifth annual event, a fundraiser for the Schroeder Area Historical Society, features other North Shore Lundie cabins and historic properties. Tourgoers meet at the Cross River Heritage Center in Schroeder and ride a bus to destinations. See the calendar below for details.
