Egpt's military intent on keeping power

Two members of Egypt's ruling military council indicated during a TV interview Wednesday night that they were not prepared to cede any powers. The armed forces will continue to be the "trustworthy guardian" of the nation, said Maj. Gen. Mahmoud Hegazy. When pressed to explain what the role of "guardian" entails, Maj. Gen. Mohammed el-Assar abruptly chimed in: "Interpret it any way you like." AP
