Lin is a born and raised Minnesotan, hailing originally from St. Paul. She's a recent graduate of the University of Missouri's school of journalism, where she studied cross-platform editing and production with an emphasis in multimedia, UX and UI design. Lin has always been fascinated by the intersections of complex information and the audiences that need to understand it. That mission has taken her across the country: she has worked as an RJI Fellow at the Sacramento Bee, building interactives, designing animations and writing about how to make data-driven stories reproducible and accessible. She also worked as an audience intern for The Texas Newsroom, NPR's flagship public radio collaboration where she designed social graphics and explored how Texas audiences interact with newsletters.
