U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison, a Democrat representing Minnesota's Fifth Congressional District, raised $260,317 for his re-election campaign during the months of April, May and June.
Ellison's campaign now has $142,959 banked for his re-election bid against Republican Chris Fields.
Fields, who won the Republican Party endorsement in April, reported raising $40,340 during the second quarter of 2012 and has $33,782 in the bank.
The candidates are scheduled to debate Wednesday, Aug. 29, at the Minnesota State Fair.
Ellison's overall numbers are down from 2010 when he had $250,000 stocked away at the end of June. He won that election by more than 40 percentage points and captured more than two-thirds of the vote in the Fifth District, which includes the cities of Minneapolis, St. Louis Park, Richfield, Crystal, Robbinsdale, Golden Valley and Fridley.
