Events and resources for Financial Literacy Month

• The TopLine Federal Credit Union financial literacy seminar for kids and parents will be held April 28 at the TopLine branch at 9353 Jefferson Hwy., Maple Grove. To register, call 763-391-9494 or e-mail rsvp@toplinecu.com with the child's name and age, parent's name and phone number.

• The Minnesota JumpStart Coalition's financial literacy event will be held from 3:30 to 6 p.m. April 24 at the Federal Reserve bank of Minneapolis (90 Hennepin Av. S.) with a keynote address by Mike Rothman, the state's Department of Commerce commissioner. To register for the free event, go to mnjumpstart2012.eventbrite.com. Tours of the Federal Reserve Bank begin at 3:30, 3:50 and 4:10 p.m.

• For a list of other events throughout the state for Financial Literacy Month, check with your financial institution or your child's school. Representatives from US Bancorp and Wells Fargo are meeting with students in various schools to discuss financial literacy.
