TC 1 MILE

When: Thursday. Citizen races start at 6:30 p.m., with the women's professional race at 7:42 p.m. and the men's pro race at 8 p.m.

Where: Races start at Mill City Museum and finish near the Guthrie Theater.

Men's pro race: Ben Blankenship, Nick Willis and Garrett Heath head the field. Blankenship, a native Minnesotan, set a course record at 3 minutes, 55.8 seconds last year, breaking Willis' record by three-tenths of a second. The two competed at the Rio Olympics and Willis, racing for New Zealand, won bronze in the 1,500 meters; Blankenship finished eighth. Heath, from Winona, won the 2015 race.

Women's pro race: Christy Cazzola of Atlanta moves into the favorite role with three-time champion Heather Kampf out because of injury.
