Dave Anderson, the Famous Dave of the Famous Dave's of America barbecue restaurant chain, is one of the contestants on a cookoff show called "Smoked" that will air on the Destination America TV network tonight at 9 p.m.

Anderson and David Marks, a long-time franchisee of the Minnetonka-based company, are pairing up to compete against Brandon Manly of Sonny's BBQ, a Gainesville, Fla.-based franchisor.

The show is hosted by three-time world barbecue champion Myron Mixon, who is joined by a rotating group of judges.

The show's website now has a 2 1/2-minute excerpt of the competition, which shows Anderson and Manly squaring off with the challenge of preparing wild hog.

"There's no way I'm losing today," Anderson says in the excerpt.

Manly rips on Anderson for using power tools to open up the hog.

The episode will be rebroadcast on Sunday, August 7, at 10 a.m.
