Five things to know about interim offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski

A Philadelphia native, Kevin Stefanski played defensive back at Penn from 2000-2004. He played on teams that compiled a 42-7 record during those seasons and was Defensive Rookie of the Year as a freshman,

Father Ed, played basketball at Penn and is a long-time NBA executive, currently working for the Detroit Pistons.

Came to the Vikings in 2006 as assistant to head coach Brad Childress, whom he met the previous year during an internship with the Philadelphia Eagles.

After three years in that job, Stefanski was assistant quarterbacks coach (2009-13), tight ends coach (2014-15), running backs coach (2016) and quarterback coach (2017 until now.)

Following last season, when the New York Giants hired former Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur as head coach, the Vikings refused to let the Giants interview Stefanski for a job.
