For California a Taste of June Gloom Monday

High pressure parked off the California coast will cool the coastal cities evenas it warms the Southwest.The low clouds and cool, onshore winds that mark the state's "June gloom" willhold sway from San Diego and Los Angeles north to the San Francisco Bay area.

Clouds will break for sunshine in many60s along and near the coast with 70s and some 80s inland.

Meanwhile, the effect of high pressure will be to lift interior temperatures tonearly normal for mid-June. Sacramento and Fresno will warm into the 80s as LasVegas tops 90. The 100-degree mark will be reached in Phoenix.
