WHAT'S AT STAKE?

Voters may vote for two school board candidates in a field of 10 at-large candidates. Four of them will compete for two at-large seats in November. The board is switching from seven at-large members to three at-large members plus representatives from each of six local districts. This will happen over the 2010 and 2012 elections. There's no primary election for the three district seats to be filled in November.

HOW TO VOTE?

Minneapolis returns to traditional voting this year for school and other elections because ranked-choice voting is used only for city elections. To find where to vote and who is on your ballot, go to pollfinder.sos.state.mn.us/
