For now, it's the tower with no name, but we do know what it will look like.

Chicago-based developer Magellan Development sent Just Listed a rendering (see below) of the new 36-story tower, which is expected to begin construction later this summer and be ready for occupancy in early 2014.

The building is at 1368 Spruce Place in the Loring Park neighborhood in Minneapolis, and will have 354 luxury apartments and more than 21,000 square feet of retail on the lower floors. It's been a long road for the project, which Magellan has been planning for at least a couple of years, but the company is no newcomer to this business. It built Aqua, an architecturally distinct 87-story condo and apartment building in the Windy City along the Chicago River. That building has an undulating facade that mimics the waves of nearby Lake Michigan.

Oh, and about the name? Mum is the word until groundbreaking. "We are superstitious in that way," said a company spokesperson.

The funding is expected to give more than 5,000 Minnesotans, especially in rural areas, high-speed broadband access across the state and help at least 139 businesses and 368 farms.
