Four people have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 42-year-old man this month in Isanti County , according to the county Sheriff's Office.
Jose De Jesus Diaz Fernandez was found dead of a gunshot wound Dec. 13 in a home in the 7800 block of 309th Avenue NW in Spencer Brook Township, north of the Twin Cities.
The Sheriff's Office said Friday that Jesse Mateo Rodrigues, 43; Fredy Saavedra Olivar, 40; and Abraham Alexander Houle, 41, were each charged with second-degree murder with intent, second-degree murder without intent and two counts of burglary. The three appeared before a judge Friday.
The identity of a fourth suspect, who was in custody elsewhere in connection with an unrelated offense, was not released. That person is awaiting extradition to Isanti County and will be identified once charged.
The Sheriff's Office said it's believed the suspects targeted Fernandez for killing.
