Colin Theisen and Cal Burke each had a goal and an assist as No. 10 Notre Dame beat No. 16 Ohio State 4-1 on Friday night in the first Big Ten game for the Irish, a new conference member this season

Notre Dame took a 2-0 lead at 2 minutes, 3 seconds of the third period on Dylan Malmquist's first goal of the season.

Cale Morris had 23 saves for the Irish, Sean Romeo 14 for the Buckeyes.

North Dakota 3, Wisconsin 2: Nick Jones' power-play goal in the middle of the third period broke a 2-all tie as the No. 4 Fighting Hawks beat the No. 7 Badgers at the Kohl Center. Colin Adams and Austin Poganski scored the other goals for UND; Matthew Freytag scored twice for the Badgers.

Mercyhurst 7, Penn State 4: Lester Lancaster had two goals and two assists to lead the visiting Lakers, who won despite being outshot 54-29.

Ferris State 3, Michigan 2 (OT): Ryker Killins scored the game-winner for the visiting Bulldogs 2:26 into the extra period.

St. Cloud State 5, Minnesota Duluth 3: Ryan Poehling, Kevin Fitzgerald, Jacob Benson and Jimmy Schuldt each had a goal and an assist as the No. 2 Huskies edged No. 8 UMD in St. Cloud to remain unbeaten (6-0, 1-0 NCHC).

MSU Mankato 3, Northern Michigan 0: Ian Scheid staked the No. 9 Mavericks to a 1-0 lead midway through the opening period and Jason Pawloski stopped 26 shots to shut out the Wildcats in Marquette, Mich. Max Coatta and Brad McClure had goals in the third period for MSU Mankato.
