Erin Knisley scored 20 points to lead New London-Spicer, ranked No. 1 in Class 2A, to a 78-55 victory over Glencoe-Silver Lake in a Wright County Conference girls' basketball game Friday in Glencoe.

The Wildcats improved to 13-0 and gave coach Mike Dreier his 975th victory in 43 seasons as their coach.

The Wildcats, who led by 12 points at halftime, used an 8-0 run early in the second half to extend their lead to 51-33 and won by 23.

Miah Monahan scored 25 points to lead the Panthers (10-3), whose six-game winning streak ended.

Monahan, a senior guard who has signed with Eastern Illinois, reached 2,000 points for her career with her 11th point in the first half.

Monahan, who was averaging 25.8 points per game going into the game, joins her sisters Maddie and McKenna, who each surpassed 2,000 points during their careers.

The Monahans join two other sets of sisters — Tayler, Morgan and Jade Hill and Kiley, Kacie and Katie Borowicz — who each scored 2,000 career points.

Another of Miah Monahan's sisters, eighth-grader Mylea, added 11 points for the Panthers.

Chaska 61, Wayzata 59: Junior forward Mallory Heyer, who has committed to the Gophers, scored 18 points — 16 in the second half — to rally the Hawks, ranked No. 3 in Class 4A, past the host Trojans.

The Hawks (12-0) trailed 35-26 at halftime.

Junior guard Mara Braun, who also has committed to the Gophers, scored 20 points.

Jenna Johnson, who has committed to Utah, scored 17 to lead the Trojans (7-5).

Farmington 77, Apple Valley 29: Senior guard Peyton Blandin scored 20 points to lead the host Tigers, ranked No. 2 in Class 4A, to their 30th consecutive victory.

Hopkins 81, Edina 34: Maya Nnaji scored 25 points and Taylor Woodson 24 to lead the Royals, ranked No. 1 in Class 4A, to their 73rd consecutive victory.

Nnaji, a junior, surpassed 1,000 points for her career.

Burnsville 56, Eagan 53: Sophomore Shawna Bruha scored 18 points and Morgan Krumweide 17 to help the host Blaze outlast the Wildcats. Krumweide surpassed 1,000 career points.

Mahtomedi 82, Henry Sibley 49: Ella Hronski scored 23 points and tied a school single-game record with six three-pointers to lead the host Zephyrs (11-2) past the Warriors.

Boys' basketball

Lakeville North 52, Eastview 46: The Panthers, ranked No. 8 in Class 4A, handed host Eastview, ranked No. 3, its first loss. Nolan Winter and Cooper Laufenberger each scored 14 to lead the Panthers (9-4), who had lost to Eastview 74-66 on Jan. 26. Henry Shannon III scored 16 to lead the Lightning (12-1).

Rosemount 56, Lakeville South 54: Caleb Siwek's basket with two seconds remaining lifted the visiting Irish to their seventh consecutive victory. Siwek scored 16 points. Reid Patterson scored 21 and Avery Mast 15 for the Cougars (7-6). The Irish defeated the Cougars 65-63 on Jan. 26.

Boys' hockey

Chaska 3, Chanhassen 0: Jack Seaverson scored a shorthanded goal and a power-play goal to lead the Hawks past the Storm. Sophomore Carter Wishart had 30 saves in his third shutout of the season.

Girls' hockey

Lakeville South 4, Blake 1: Claire Enright, a junior who has committed to the Gophers, scored two goals to lead the Cougars, who are ranked No. 7 in Class 2A, past the visiting Bears. Senior Lauren Sorvari had 36 saves for the Cougars.
