With the NCAA Frozen Four at St. Paul's Xcel Energy Center set for April 5 and 7, college hockey is heating up. Here's a look at four teams on the rise and four teams sinking:
Four on the rise
St. Cloud State: No. 1 in PairWise and has won five in a row.
Denver: Champs are unbeaten in seven.
Northeastern: Beanpot title shows Terriers' potential.
Minnesota: Gophers have won five of six.
Four sinking
Clarkson: On a five-game winless streak.
Boston College: Hockey East leader is 0-7-3 outside conference.
North Dakota: Split vs. Colorado College hurt PairWise rating.
Penn State: Nittany Lions are 0-5-2 since Jan. 12.
