Game 5 of WNBA Finals a local TV ratings hit

Locally, the Lynx-Fever game more than tripled the ratings of the Royals-Astros ALDS game.

Turns out Game 5 of the WNBA finals was must-see TV locally.

The Lynx-Fever matchup posted a 6.1 rating, with a peak of 11.2 at 9 p.m. With one point equal to 17,280 households, that means 105,408 households locally were tuned to that game to watch the Lynx win their third league title in five years.

Locally, the Lynx game more than tripled the audience that tuned into the Royals-Astros baseball game, which did a 1.7 rating.

Meanwhile, just to remind you: The victory parade starts Friday at 11:30 a.m. at 12th and Nicollet and will make its way to the Target Center, where there will be a celebration starting at 12:15.
