Preview: Moved once already, the start of Saturday's game was moved back again to 10:30 p.m. — 8:30 p.m. local time — because of an excessive heat warning for Portland. The forecast calls for the temperature reaching 106 on Saturday. … The Timbers are 2-1-1 in their past four games after a 2-2 draw with Houston on Wednesday. They lost three consecutive games before this last four-game stretch. All three are headed back to Minnesota after playing in the UEFA European Championship. Coach Adrian Heath hopes they will return for next Saturday's home game against San Jose. Lod is stopping in Helsinki on his way for an appointment for his U.S. green card. … Loons starting left back Chase Gasper faces suspension with his next yellow card.

Absent: Timbers winger Yimmi Chara is away with the Colombian national team
