7:30 p.m. at Sporting Kansas City • FS1, 1500-AM

Loons seek better road result

Preview: United (5-7-1) and Kansas City (7-2-4) played to a 1-1 draw when they met two weeks ago in Minneapolis. The rematch is Sunday at Children's Mercy Park. Kansas City leads the Western Conference. The Loons, who sit in ninth, have some extra motivation for this game. They have either won or drawn in all three of their home games so far against Kansas City, but the away games have been a different story. In two trips there last season in MLS and the U.S. Open Cup, United lost by a combined 7-0.

Quotable: "We know the problems that they're going to cause us. Now it's up to us to do a better job because we didn't do a job last year. — Coach Adrian Heath.

Injuries: For United, M Sam Cronin (concussion), D Marc Burch (knee) and D Jerome Thiesson (groin) are out; G Matt Lampson (knee) is questionable. For Kansas City, M Felipe Gutierrez (hernia) is out; F Diego Rubio (back) and D Jimmy Medranda (undisclosed) are questionable.
