Wolves looking to end tailspin

Wolves update: The Wolves have lost three straight, all by at least 21 points, including a 130-101 loss to previously winless Washington on Friday in a game in which they trailed by as many as 39 points. … They will be playing for a fourth straight time without Karl-Anthony Towns (wrist) and may be without Josh Okogie (hamstring) as well. G D'Angelo Russell will try to break out of a three-game slump in which he has averaged 13.3 points. He was a minus-32 in the loss to the Wizards. G Malik Beasley scored 21 points on 8-for-13 shooting Friday. C Naz Reid scored 17 points, his third straight game in double figures. G Anthony Edwards scored 15 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter of Friday's game.

Nuggets update: The Nuggets will be playing without Michael Porter Jr., out because of COVID-19 protocols, according to published reports. He is the team's third-leading scorer (19.5). The Nuggets have lost two straight and four of five after losing at home 106-103 to Phoenix on Friday. … C Nikola Jokic is averaging a triple-double (23 points, 11 rebounds, 13 assists). G Jamal Murray had 31 points on 12-for-22 shooting vs. Phoenix. … Denver has won eight straight games vs. the Wolves.
