Four Wild players ready to return

Preview: The Wild's five-game road trip continues with coach Dean Evason having to use yet another revamped lineup. Forwards Nick Bonino and Nico Sturm and Ds Jared Spurgeon and Ian Cole will return against the Ducks after all four were unavailable because of the NHL's COVID protocols. Spurgeon was also dealing with an upper-body injury. Four players (C Victor Rask, Ds Jonas Brodin and Carson Soucy and G Cam Talbot) are still on the league's COVID list; D Brad Hunt was released from it on Wednesday.

Players to watch: RW Kirill Kaprizov recorded a career-high five shots Tuesday in a 4-0 loss at Los Angeles. D Calen Addison played 19 minutes, 41 seconds in his NHL debut on Tuesday. … Ducks LW Max Comtois has a team-high seven goals. LW Nicolas Deslauriers scored twice and added an assist in two previous games against the Wild this season.

Numbers: Wild C Nick Bjugstad is one goal shy of 100 for his career. The Wild is 3-1-1 in its past five games against Anaheim. … The Ducks carry the worst goals-per-game average in the NHL at 1.94. They are 3-3-2 on home ice.

Injuries: Wild G Alex Stalock (upper body) is out. Ducks LW Sonny Milano (upper body) and Ds Josh Manson (oblique) and Brendan Guhle (sprained MCL) are also out.
