Preview: The 31-28 Mavericks are 2-3 in their last five games after Friday's 122-116 home victory over Denver. … The Mavericks won the first two meetings between the teams this season, winning 93-87 at Target Center on Jan. 10 and 106-94 in OT at Dallas 10 days later. The Mavs have won the last five meetings, six of the last seven and 27 of the last 35.
Players to watch: Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki is sixth on the NBA's all-time scoring list, surpassing Shaquille O'Neal in December. His 20-point, 13-rebound game Friday was his seventh double-double this season after he had six in each of his last three seasons. … Veteran David Lee has played two games since he was bought out and waived by Boston and the Mavericks signed him. He had 14 points and 14 rebounds Friday.
Injuries: Wolves F Nemanja Bjelica (foot strain), F Kevin Garnett (sore knee) and C Nikola Pekovic (sore ankle) remain out. The Mavericks report no injuries.
