Wolves aiming to end home skid

Wolves update: The Timberwolves picked up their first road win of the season at Brooklyn on Friday but enter Saturday having lost their past two at home. In beating the Nets, the Wolves improved to 4-2 on the season against teams from the Eastern Conference. They are 4-9 against teams from the West. Former Bulls F Taj Gibson had an efficient game for the Wolves on Friday, scoring 16 points on only seven shots and grabbing 11 rebounds in his return to his hometown.

Bulls update: The Bulls continue their rebuild with players they received in the deal that brought Jimmy Butler to Minnesota on draft night in 2017, but only one of them is playing. Zach Lavine is averaging 25.5 points per game on 44 percent shooting and is second among players averaging 15 or more minutes per game in usage rate at 32.1 percent. That means 32.1 percent of Bulls possessions end with Lavine taking a shot, getting to the free-throw line or committing a turnover. Kris Dunn has played in just one game as he recovers from a knee injury while Lauri Markkanen is out because of an elbow injury but could resume practicing soon.
