Nowhere to go but up for Wolves

Preview: The Pacers are 14-14 and fifth in the Eastern Conference after a loss at Chicago on Monday. The Timberwolves have the NBA's worst record (7-21) and are 4-9 at home following Tuesday night's loss to the Lakers. This will be the sixth time the Wolves have played back-to-back games this season; in each of the first five times they have won one game and lost the other.

Players to watch: Pacers G Malcolm Brogdon (21.2 ppg) and C Domantas Sabonis (21 ppg) are the team's scoring leaders, and Sabonis averages 11.4 rebounds per game. … Wolves G Anthony Edwards had a career-high 28 against the Lakers. G Malik Beasley has scored in double figures in 27 games and led the team in scoring in 15.

Numbers: The Pacers have won the past three meetings between the teams and led the all-time series 39-21. Four of the past five meetings have been decided by 10 or fewer points. … Indiana is 7-5 on the road.

Injuries: For the Pacers, Doug McDermott (right knee) is questionable and Caris LeVert (kidney surgery) and T.J Warren (left foot stress fracture) are out. For the Wolves, D'Angelo Russell (upcoming knee surgery) and Jarrett Culver (ankle) are out.
