Rubio near double-double average in Russell's stead

Preview: The Wolves defeated the Raptors 116-112 on Sunday in Tampa, Fla., and will close out their season series against them Friday. … Since D'Angelo Russell was sidelined by a knee injury, Ricky Rubio has averaged 11.8 points and nine assists per game. He had a season-high 20 points and 13 assists in Wednesday's loss to the Pacers. … Jordan McLaughlin slotted into the backup point guard role and is averaging 5.4 points and 5.6 assists. ... Jarrett Culver (sprained ankle) will be out but could return next week.

Raptors update: The Raptors are coming to Minnesota after playing Milwaukee on Thursday. On Tuesday, the Raptors beat the Bucks 124-113. They have played four games with no days' rest and are 0-4 in those games. Their net rating is -10.2 and they are allowing 122.9 points per 100 possessions in those games. … Guard Kyle Lowry (ankle) sat out Thursday and is not expected to play against the Wolves. He is averaging 17.4 points and 6.4 assists and scored 24 against the Wolves on Sunday. … The Wolves limited Pascal Siakam to 18 points on 6-of-19 shooting on Sunday. Siakam shoots 46% from the field.
