Gophers junior Kelci Bryant captured the 1-meter diving national title at the 2011 NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships in Austin, Texas, on Thursday.

Bryant led from the first dive of the final to the event's completion, gathering 349.65 points to win the crown.

The Gophers are in eighth place after the first day of the NCAA meet with 67 points.

Vikings meet Gabbert Missouri quarterback Blaine Gabbert was set to dine with Vikings officials after his Pro Day workout on Thursday, according to the Columbia Daily Tribune.

Vikings VP of player personnel Rick Spielman and coach Leslie Frazier were among a large group of NFL officials who reportedly attended Gabbert's workout. He unofficially completed 44 of 49 passes.

The Vikings also have conducted or are expected to conduct private workouts with Auburn's Cam Newton, Washington's Jake Locker and TCU's Andy Dalton.

Gabbert or Newton is expected to be the first quarterback selected in next month's NFL draft, meaning the Vikings almost certainly won't get a shot at Gabbert if they don't trade up from the 12th pick in the first round.
