The Gophers on Friday announced their first 11 a.m., kickoff time of the fall after drawing the morning time slot on Big Ten Network for their Sept. 19 home game against Kent State.
Gophers football schedule so far: Prime-time kickoffs 4, Morning kickoffs 1
On Friday, the Gophers drew their first 11 a.m., assignment for 2015 after playing six in a row in that time slot last season.
Last season, the Gophers played six consecutive games that started at 11 a.m., going 4-2 in those games against Northwestern, Purdue, Illinois, Iowa, Ohio State and Nebraska.
For this fall, the Gophers drew four primetime assignments for their games against TCU, Michigan, Ohio State and Iowa.
In a speech last week in Winona, coach Jerry Kill said those primetime games are a sign "you're getting a little more respect from the Big Ten." He said the later starts should make it easier for fans to get there and said the primetime TV spotlight is "huge for recruiting."
Here's a look at the Gophers' schedule with the game time and TV info that has come out so far (all times Central).
