The Gophers men's tennis doubles pairing of Siim Troost and Vlad Lobak advanced to the second round of the NCAA doubles tournament on Monday after a 6-1, 6-3, victory over Jim Hendrix and Victor Chaw of Samford in Orlando.

The Gopher duo set the tone early and often in Monday's contest, earning a first-set victory with a dominant performance, then continuing to maintain the edge in the match after running away with a much-more competitive second set.

The pair representing the Maroon & Gold will now await their next opponent, as they will square off against the winner of No. 1 Tim Sandkaulen/Finn Reynolds (Ole Miss) and Henri Squire/Eduardo Nava (Wake Forest). That match will take place on Monday evening at 5:30 pm CT.

The NCAA tournament will continue on Tuesday, May 25 for the second round. All match times for the Round of 16 will be determined following the conclusion of Monday's action.
