TURNING POINT

Trailing 2-1 in the match, the Gophers led 15-14 in the fourth set before Texas went on an 8-2 run — aided by two off-target Gophers attacks and two Texas aces — to roar to a 22-17 lead.

KEY PLAYERS

Yasmeen Bedart-Ghani, Texas: The 6-4 outside hitter pounded away at the Gophers from the right side, finishing with 15 kills and only one error.

Daly Santana, Gophers: The Big Ten player of the year led her team with 21 kills and heated up late in the match, but she hit only .154 in the first two sets, with nine kills and five errors.
