Gophers women will close Big Ten season against Frese, Maryland
They close out the Big Ten regular season with a big game, too: on the road against former Gophers coach Brenda Frese and Maryland.
Home games also include Michigan (Jan. 10), Indiana (Jan. 17), Northwestern (Jan. 20), Illinois (Jan. 26), Rutgers (Feb. 4), Nebraska (Feb. 11), Iowa (Feb. 15) and Ohio State (Feb. 24).
In her first season, Marlene Stollings led the Gophers to their first NCAA tournament appearance in six years, and the team's 23 victories were its most in 10 seasons. They finished sixth in the Big Ten with an 11-7 record. Stollings received a one-year contract extension and $75,000 raise earlier this week.
The Gophers open the season on Nov. 13 at Williams Arena against Wofford and will play seven of their nonconference games at home.
