The Gophers wrestling team completed a perfect weekend at the South Beach Duals in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., with two victories Sunday.

The Gophers (7-1) defeated Kent State 51-0 and No. 22 Utah Valley 36-6. On Saturday, the Gophers beat No. 21 Lehigh and No. 12 North Carolina.
The victory over Kent State marked the first time the Gophers scored more than 50 points since a 50-0 victory over Portland State on Nov. 29, 2008, in Rochester.
It was the Gophers' first shutout since they beat Itasca Community College 39-0 on Nov. 24, 2012, in Fargo, N.D.
Eight Gophers went 2-0 on Sunday. Three of them, 125-pound Sean Russell, 133-pound Ethan Lizak and heavyweight Gable Steveson, went undefeated through the weekend. In four matches, the Gophers won 32 of 40 bouts.
The Gophers will begin their Big Ten season Sunday vs. Rutgers at Maturi Pavilion.

• Maddie Elia had two goals and two assists, leading the Buffalo Beauts to a 4-0 victory over the Minnesota Whitecaps in Buffalo, N.Y. Former Gopher Dani Cameranesi had two assists for the Beauts. Beauts goalie Nicole Hensley made 33 saves. The Whitecaps outshot the Beauts 33-27.
• Tim Mosser, who coached Concordia (Moorhead) to eight NCAA tournament appearances in volleyball over 26 years, announced his resignation. The Cobbers won four MIAC regular-season championships under Mosser, and he was the MIAC Coach of the Year in three decades, in 1995, 2006 and 2011.
• Brady Tomlak scored and had two assists, leading host Air Force past Bemidji State 6-3 in men's hockey.
