Fishing with his father, Steve, and cousin Mason in the BWCA, the 6-year old landed this smallmouth bass July 22 using a leech and single hook. He fished the bait on the bottom along a rocky shoreline.

11-year old Ella Joesting of Prior Lake caught this 24-inch walleye on Aug. 4 while fishing with her grandfather, David Joesting of Eden Prairie, on Cross Lake. She used a Lindy Rig with a leech.
