Two Rivers had one loss in the regular season. It came at the hands of Hastings. There isn't a better time to avenge a setback than in the playoffs.

A shutout was the way Two Rivers took vengeance for its only loss of the season.
The Warriors defense was stout in a 14-0 victory over Hastings in the rain Tuesday night in the Class 5A, Section 3 quarterfinals at Two Rivers.
Two Rivers (8-1) scored both of its touchdowns in the second quarter. Drew Altavilla opened the scoring with a 3-yard run, and Riley Pearce added a 1-yard plunge.
Hastings (2-7) won the regular-season meeting 9-7.

Section 2
Waconia 21, Mankato East 7: Senior running back Levi Mueller scored on two 5-yard runs in the first half as the Wildcats (4-5) eliminated the Cougars (3-6). Senior quarterback Austin Randall added an insurance touchdown on a 27-yard run with 5 minutes, 38 seconds remaining.
Section 7
Elk River 53, Duluth East 6: The Elks (3-6) scored 32 first-quarter points and cruised past the Greyhounds (1-8). Junior Gavin Schmidt and sophomore Austin Anderson each ran for two touchdowns; Elk River had five different players rush for touchdowns. Schmidt scored on runs of 10 and 49 yards while Anderson's scoring runs were 5 and 45 yards.

Fridley 26, Minneapolis Edison 8: The Tigers (6-3) didn't waste time taking control against the Tommies (1-8). Senior Tykeilan Moore took the opening kickoff 74 yards for a touchdown. Six minutes later, senior running back Lex Korti scored on a 3-yard run, giving the Tigers a 13-0 lead. Korti added a 48-yard scoring run early in the second quarter. Fridley went ahead 26-0 before halftime when seniors Isaiah Watson and Antwan Smith hooked up on an 80-yard touchdown pass with 45 seconds remaining in the second quarter. The Tommies avoided being shut out on senior running back Elijah Jones' 7-yard touchdown run with 29 seconds remaining.

DeLaSalle 41, Minneapolis Roosevelt 0: Junior cornerback Jaden Alexander set the tone early with a 27-yard fumble return for the opening touchdown as DeLaSalle's defense was dominant in a victory over the Teddies (1-8). Senior halfback Ray James ran for two touchdowns (30 and 32 yards) for the Islanders (3-6). Junior quarterback Anthony Starks II ran for a touchdown and threw for another.

Princeton 28, Little Falls 22: The Tigers (7-2) raced to a 28-0 halftime lead, and then had to hold off a late rally by the Flyers (4-5). Senior Eli Gibbs ran for two touchdowns and junior quarterback Brody Kok ran for one and threw for another for Princeton.

Section 2
Rockford 18, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted 0: Senior running back Logan Stedman ran for all three touchdowns as the Rockets (8-1) shut out the Lakers (3-6). Stedman, who has rushed for more than 1,200 yards this season, scored on runs of 1, 1 and 14 yards.
Section 3
Jordan 31, Belle Plaine 10: Junior running back Mason Adamek and Brock Bakeberg each scored two touchdowns as the Hubmen (6-3) topped the Tigers (1-8). Adamek scored on runs of 11 and 43 yards while Bakeberg scored on a 7-yard run and 65-yard interception return.

Holy Family 63, Brooklyn Center 26: Junior running back Tanner Davis ran for four touchdowns and the Fire (6-3) scored 48 first-half points in beating the Centaurs (4-5). Davis scored on runs of 2, 15, 31 and 47 yards. Junior Griffin Murray and sophomore Noah Galvin each added two scoring runs.
Six players plus head coach Garrett Raboin and assistant coach Ben Gordon are from Minnesota. The tournament’s games will be televised starting Monday.
