How Much Snow Will Accumulate?

Blizzard conditions will continue over parts of the northern Plains today.Through Saturday, the heaviest snow will pile up over northwestern Iowa andMinnesota, where up to 2 feet can be expected. Meanwhile, 6 to 12 inches ofsnow will fall from the eastern Dakotas and northeastern Nebraska into northernWisconsin.

Bitterly cold wind rushing over the region will lead to blowing and driftingsnow. This could lead to hazardous or impossible travel conditions, even inareas where only light accumulations are expected.
