IDs released of 2 killed in fire in Inver Grove Heights mobile home
The blaze broke out about 8 p.m. Sunday on Royal Avenue in the Skyline Village mobile home park in the 7500 block of Concord Boulevard, according to Fire Chief Judy Thill.
Authorities identified the victims as Tiffany M. Meyers, 32, who owned the home, and Dave G. L'Heureux, 33. They were taken by ambulance from the scene and later pronounced dead, according to the Fire Department.
A firefighter and a police officer suffered minor injuries, the department added.
Authorities haven't disclosed details on how the fire began.
The person who called 911 said he saw a glow from inside the home and knocked on the door but got no answer, Thill said.
Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to locate the woman and remove her from the home, the chief said.
The man was located with the same camera, but the firefighters had to "knock down the fire to get to him before he could be removed," Thill said.
