September 18, 2015 at 9:41PM

A crash injured four Faribault High School football players and prompted the postponement of a game that was scheduled for Friday.

The Owatonna Police Department reported an SUV driven by 16-year-old Henry E. Sanchez was struck by a semitrailer truck traveling northbound on 24th Avenue NW. near Park Drive NW. in Owatonna before 10 p.m. Thursday.

Local media reports said Sanchez and three passengers — Chase Ernste, Alex Linse and Lamont Anderson — were returning from Rochester after watching their school's volleyball team play. Sanchez and a 17-year-old passenger were taken by ambulance to a hospital while two 16-year-olds were taken by air ambulance to St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. Police say alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor and that all involved were wearing seat belts.

The driver of the semitrailer, Riley M. McMullin, 35, of Kenosha, Wis., was unhurt.
