Just like the Twins and the Vikings, the music world has its injury list – and two Twin Cities gigs for next week are affected.

Buzzed-about Sam Fender, the Springsteen-evoking British singer-songwriter touted by Elton John, has had to cancel a handful of gigs, including Tuesday at the Fine Line, due to an infection in his respiratory tract. The Minneapolis show is not going to be rescheduled.

Little Feat guitarist Paul Barrere will not be able to participate in Monday's concert at the State Theatre due to liver disease. He's announced that his doctors have diagnosed his situation as "common and treatable" but he will miss a portion of the band's 50th anniversary tour. The guitarist expects to return in January.

Larry Campbell will sit in for Barrere in Minneapolis. Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams are the opening act for the show. Campbell is best known for playing with Bob Dylan and Levon Helm.
