Interactive look at the Capitol renovation so far

When legislators return to work on Jan. 3, they will return to a completely renovated State Capitol. Visitors will notice more public space, better lighting, a new elevator and an emergency staircase. The basement has been thoroughly overhauled, with more public space and more elegant surroundings. Some of the most major repairs won't be obvious, like reworked electrical and heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. In the House and Senate chambers, there is new paint, carpet and refurbished artwork.
