Jay Berger, Mary Joe Fernandez chosen U.S. Olympic tennis coaches

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Jay Berger and Mary Joe Fernandez have been chosen the men's and women's coaches for the 2012 U.S. Olympic tennis teams.

Berger is head of tennis for USTA player development. Fernandez is captain of the U.S. Fed Cup team and has led it to the final in two of the past three years. Their selections were announced Tuesday.

Dan James, head U.S. national wheelchair team coach, was chosen coach for the U.S. Paralympic wheelchair team.

Olympic tennis will be July 28-Aug. 5 at Wimbledon. Player nominations will be made using the ATP World Tour and WTA rankings as of next Monday.
