July 1, 2005: Shooting victim is Burnsville man

Authorities on Thursday identified the victim of a shooting Wednesday in Minneapolis as an 18-year-old Burnsville man.

Emmanuel Killion was found about 7 a.m. Wednesday in an alley near the 2800 block of 14th Avenue S. in the Phillips neighborhood. He died of a gunshot wound to the chest, according to the Hennepin County medical examiner's office.

Police have not determined a motive, and no arrests have been made. Killion's death is the city's 31st homicide of the year.
