Kanye West's hotly anticipated/gossiped-about concert scheduled Tuesday night at Target Center has been postponed, reportedly due to an accident involving one of the tour's production trucks. No makeup date has been set yet, but one is expected. Fans are being told to hold onto their tickets.

West has already canceled two prior dates on his "Yeezus" tour for different production-related reasons. He put three more cities on hold Thursday, also including Denver and Vancouver. The tour was already earning ample attention from the media for its inclusion of Jesus as one of West's onstage partners.

A statement from West's handlers read, "A truck carrying the Yeezus Tour's custom-made video truss and 60-ft circular LED screen was in an accident that damaged the gear beyond repair. This gear is central to the staging of the [tour], and central to the creative vision put forth by Kanye."

This is the third time West has canceled on Twin Cities fans, counting the KDWB Jingle Ball in 2007 (a month after his mother's death) and the Watch the Throne Tour with Jay Z in 2011 (when the itinerary was re-routed). More unusual, this is also the fourth major postponement at Target Center in recent weeks, counting concerts by Drake, Lady Antebellum and Pink.

Dylan's Newport electric guitar to be sold

The sunburst Fender Stratocaster that a young Bob Dylan played at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival when he famously went electric, perhaps the most historic instrument in rock 'n' roll, is coming up for auction. Though now viewed as changing American music forever, Dylan's three-song electric set at the Rhode Island festival that marked his move from acoustic folk to electric rock 'n' roll was met by boos from folk purists who viewed him as a traitor. He returned for an acoustic encore with "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue." Now the guitar is being offered for sale Dec. 6, Christie's said. Five lots of hand- and typewritten lyric fragments found inside the guitar case — early versions of some of Dylan's legendary songs — also are being sold. The lyrics have a pre-sale estimate ranging from $3,000 to $30,000.

broadway debut: "Star Wars" and "Trainspotting" star Ewan McGregor will make his Broadway debut next year in a revival of Tom Stoppard's "The Real Thing."
