For someone known primarily for her voice, radio personality Falen Lambert doesn't mind being singled out for her thoughts on body image and fashion.

Falen (as she's simply known to listeners) is the co-host of "The Dave Ryan Show" on KDWB (101.3 FM), where her wicked sense of humor has earned her a dedicated fan base. She has more than 40,000 Twitter followers and 15,000 on Instagram.

She describes her style as "feminine and comfortable" and doesn't hesitate to mix casual and glamorous styles — she wore gold glitter flats from Old Navy to her wedding reception. We chatted with Lambert about her favorite looks, her fans and her husband just weeks before their first anniversary.

Q: What's your go-to outfit?
A: Usually if you see me anywhere, I am in one of two outfits. I am in a fit and flare dress, or if I'm not in that I'm in a T-shirt and jeans. I wear tennis shoes with my dresses a lot. If you ever see me in high heels, you should know I'm in absolute pain.

Q: Is KDWB a stylish workplace?
A: People get the misconception that we wear PJs to work. No, we cannot do that. But we're definitely in jeans. I feel like we're the hobos of the building. And Dave Ryan is the worst-dressed.

Q: Does your husband, KFAN's Paul "Meatsauce" Lambert, share your interest in fashion?
A: I married someone who, when we first started dating, I think he owned like five T-shirts. And they were all free shirts from the radio station. He'll come downstairs sometimes and I'll say, "Is that seriously what you're wearing?" And he'll say, "No, I was just seeing if it fit." That's our joke.

Q: What happens when you and Paul run into fans around the Twin Cities?
A: The reaction is so different between our listeners. When we go to a sporting event, we can't go more than 20 feet without someone screaming, "Meatsauce!" His listeners scream his name and they nod at each other as they walk past. My listeners stop me and it's more of a conversation.

Q: Are there new style trends you want to try right now?
A: I am so jealous of extremely thin girls who can wear what's really popular now, which is the big flowy shirts and the big flowy dresses. But when you have curves like I do, it's less flattering and makes you look even bigger. I have a couple of them, though, because screw it, I'm going to wear something super-comfortable.

Q: How do you face body image issues?
A: Honestly, I don't think there's ever going to be a time where I'm not self-conscious about my body. Even at my thinnest, I still think I could lose 20 more pounds. For me, I'd say you have to be healthy. But it's never going to be perfect because I love pizza and burgers and cupcakes way too much.
