After postponing his tour because of the pandemic, Kenny Chesney, country music's stadium king, has rescheduled his concerts for 2022, with an Aug. 6 show at U.S. Bank Stadium.

He was originally slated to appear at the Vikings stadium on May 2, 2020.

Chesney lists 18 U.S. stadiums on his Here and Now 2022 Stadium Tour.

"With every city, county and state having their own protocols, with capacity numbers shifting every day, I didn't want to announce until we knew we could come full on ... strong ... and without a care in the world," Chesney said in a statement. "I always want to be that place where you can let go, feel safe and have the time of the summer."

Tickets from the delayed show will be honored; refunds will be available at place of purchase for only the next 30 days.

Chesney last performed at the Vikings stadium in 2018. He rocked Target Field four times between 2012 and 2015.

Since Def Leppard, Guns N' Roses and now Chesney have rescheduled their postponed stadium shows from this year and last, that leaves the Rolling Stones as outliers. There has been no word on rescheduling of their No Filter Tour from 2020, which included a May 16 date at U.S. Bank Stadium.
