None of those hamburgers for me, folks. I'll take a good old hot dog instead.Do you think I should enter that hog dog eating contest that they have in ConeyIsland, N.Y., Monday? No way! I'd be lucky to eat three of them in 12 minutes, let alone 50 or 60. I don't know how anyone can do that and still breathe.
Anyway, here's how I like 'em. The hot dog must be reasonably well done. Youknow, so it looks all black on the grill. Once in the roll, squeeze on somemustard then add a nice thick layer of sauerkraut. What? You don't likesauerkraut? Well, as my mom used to say, "you don't know what's good."Next, help yourself to some baked beans, potato salad and maybe a couple ofpickles. Actually I'd prefer some fries with my dog, but can you make those onthe grill? Then after getting stuffed, how about a little nap under a shady tree? Soundspretty nice, doesn't it?As far as the weather for the Fourth goes, just take a gander below. Folks fromKentucky to the mid-Atlantic may have to dodge some thunderstorms, and ascattering of storms will roam through the Southwest.
