Lilydale man dies in Eagan accident

The 87-year-old veered into the median on Hwy. 77.

A Lilydale, Minn., man died in a one-car crash in Eagan on Thursday evening.

David William Frye, 87, died when his Toyota Corolla, traveling south on Hwy. 77, veered into the median north of Highway 13, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The car came to rest on a railroad bed under the highway.

The road was dry, he was wearing his seatbelt and alcohol was not involved, the State Patrol patrol said. He was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
