WASHINGTON

The newly renovated Ford's Theatre opened Wednesday night, when filmmaker George Lucas was awarded the Lincoln Medal of Honor.

The Library of Congress opens

an exhibit today on Lincoln's life.

The Emancipation Proclamation is on display at the National Archives through Monday.

SPRINGFIELD, ILL.

A reading of the Gettysburg Address, 9:30 a.m. today at the Lincoln Presidential Library (live at Alplm.org).

CHICAGO

The Chicago History Museum is charging just a penny through Sunday for admission to the exhibit "Lincoln Treasures."

MINNESOTA

Lincoln biographer Ron White will make appearances Tuesday and participate in a Civil War Round Table at Fort Snelling.

The Minnesota Historical Society will host "History Matters" at the Capitol from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday, with a noontime rally and a chance to make your own stovepipe hat.
