One of the most popular rock acts of the '00s, Linkin Park will play its first Minnesota show of the '10s on Jan. 28 at Xcel Energy Center. Tickets ($42.50-$72.50) go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m.

The rap-infused California alt-metal band performed four previous times at the St. Paul arena, packing it in 2004 with 18,000 fans following the multi-platinum success of its album "Meteora." Its latest disc, "A Thousand Suns," has had tepid reviews and slow sales compared with its predecessors, although it did debut at No. 1 in Billboard in September.

Other concert announcements: Oregonian folk-rock favorites the Decemberists will return to the State Theatre on Feb. 6, with tickets on sale at noon Saturday ($32.50); influential British post-punk band Gang of Four will hit First Avenue on Feb. 12 behind its first album in 16 years, and cult-loved New Jersey quartet My Chemical Romance will also land (and probably immediately sell out) First Ave on April 12. Ticket info is yet to be announced on those latter shows.
