Round 2 against the Dream at home

Minnesota update: After opening the season 0-4 the Lynx have won two straight against two good teams. Friday the Lynx cooled the hot Atlanta Dream, ending its four-game winning streak with a two-point victory sealed by Napheesa Collier's two free throws with 1.5 seconds left. Now, in a schedule quirk, the rematch. G Layshia Clarendon in two games, the second a start, is averaging 13 points and four assists. F Napheesa Collier scored 26 points, including seven of Minnesota's final nine Friday. Kayla McBride hit five of nine threes vs. Atlanta. Crystal Dangerfield, coming off the bench with Clarendon starting, scored 10 of her 13 points in the fourth quarter. The Lynx could be without F Damiris Dantas, who left the game in the first quarter Friday with back spasms and did not return.

Atlanta update: The Dream (4-3) could again be playing without G Chennedy Carter. High-scoring Courtney Williams, who entered Friday's game averaging nearly 20 points a game, was held to 15 points on 18 shots. F Tiffany Hayes had 23 points and eight rebounds. The Dream got good production from its bench, with rookie G Aari McDonald scoring 15 points and Crystal Bradford 12. The two were a combined 8-for-14 on three-pointers.
